1992 Haro Extreme Comp Fork Question

Black_Hills_Biker

Retro Newbie
This is the steel rear triangle/aluminum front triangle mutant from 1992 I believe (couldn't find a MTB catalog to verify [lots of BMX catalogs out there but no MTB editions], but it seems to be the consensus of the google searching I have done). The frame did not come with a fork and I am trying to determine the appropriate axle-to-crown length to get: 410mm or 440mm. Any advice/input/thoughts would be very much appreciated!

We're talking about this, right?
I also do miss a HARO MTB catalog for 1992, but those adverts are from 92

This had 1992 a rockshox MAG fork,
but same frame design, but with regular welded rear triangle was also sold also with rigid fork.

This rigid fork was nice too because it had a design with straight legs. At least in the 1991 Extreme it was using Tange tubing an had a axle to crown height of 395mm.

Picture of the 1991 version, where same rigid fork was still chrome-plated.

Moreover, there was another variant of Rigid Fork, in 1991 also on some models forks looking like Tange "switch-blade" have been used.

Also those are just 390mm.

With that, I personally would use also a standard 26" fork with 395mm for non-suspension corrected MTB frames, or an early, first gen suspension fork with are mostly just 410mm (minus some SAG).
