was a prelude to this one!

so, i drove down to Glasgow today to pick up my PD-95 CD player from a service, and then nipped to Kinetics to pick up the newly finished Alves!

loving the colour, not quite what i was expecting, but i like it all the same!

have a few bits n bobs looked out for it already, but this is going to be a slow build, so will update as and when

here's how it looks and what i have ready so far

I just wanna put those last two images in a frame....

This is going to be amazing. I'm not a fan of standard greys, but I love the texture in that and the chrome works brilliantly.

Re:

Lovely. I reckon yellow decals would look ace against the grey. Would bring out the accents on the hubs as well. I would be tempted to stick a Mavic headset on it as well for some reason...

Will keep an eye on this one

Re:

Thanks for the positive comments!

It had a Mavic headset when it was first built, but it needs a 1 inch aheadset now as forks and stem require one

wanted cantis too, but forgot that at some point it was modified for V brakes

going to build it with silver brakes, seat post, bars etc, and I think a flight ti saddle

Re:

Ooh that's justy Gorgeous with that combo of chrome and paint and i'm just loving that front fork as it's very retro indeed  ..

Re:

tried to catch the rainbow flecks in the sunshine this morning, it's really a very nice paint job for powder coat!
