That looks like the 1991 rear end indeed. The 1992 models had the chainstays connecting to the seat stays a bit before the dropouts.
It may have been on the LBS' showroom floor for a while before AJB bought it.

Either way, a nice bike. If it were one size larger, I'd have been very interested.

I did by it from a shop the specialises in end of line models in March 1992 so probably is a 1991 model.

Yeah, probably. This is what the rear of the 1992 looks like. The intersection between chainstays and seatstays is completely different. Yours is definitely a 1991.

I know we're nitpicking, but to some people that matters. I personally prefer the styling of 1991 rear end over the 1992 one.

For Sale my Alpinestars Cro Mega DX that I bought new in 1992. Mostly original parts. Comes with Girvin Flexstem and Zoom bars plus the original Mega Lite stem and bars. Normal scrapes and scratches for its age. Also have the original manual. £325.

It is a small frame suitable for 5ft 8 or smaller.
