My cousin visited on the weekend and saw my stash.. he wants me to build him one of these, he had one for about a month before it got stolen back in ‘89.
Believe it or not, it was Falcon’s top of the range MTB in 1988.... I think it might have been their first CR-MO jobbie...

And anyway, with it’s bizzare all cable downtube run & chainstay brake, it’s just as much a fail as the early Yeti’s everyone on here gets a hard-on about at a fraction of the price... (now...not then necessarily) :shock: :roll:

Just done a deal with the Long chap... that one’s in the bag for a rainy day... but although it’s the right period and has the cable run/brake combo it isn’t exactly the same... the Falcon version was lugged not TIG welded... so still looking.

The Townsend is Brigg built whereas the Falcon is more likely to be a re-badge like my Emmelle

Maybe. But I thought the Lugged Holdsworth/Clauds/Falcons from 1989 were the Brigg built stuff and the TIG welded CR-MO stuff was shipped in?

Any hoo, still looking for a lugged Falcon built weird down tube cabled chain stay braked thingy....

PS I like your ARAYA, how does it ride with set-up?
