1" steerer - anyone make new parts?

So after my experiences of ageing aluminium failing with less than idea outcome I thought it might be prudent to replace the stem on my 1997 Clockwork.

Background; This bike is ridden as the designer intended on a weekly basis. This year its covered 2500kms offroad and should see 3k before Dec 31st. I only add this to help guide the answer; I'm not looking for a secondhand period part.

Problem is, the Clockwork has a 1" steerer tube and the rest of the world has moved on and seems to prefer 1 1/8".

So can anyone recommend a supplier? I have done the usual searches but choice seems to be non-existent...Or I am looking in the wrong place...

All suggestions welcome!

5 mins after posting...I may have found a resolution; 1" to 1 1/8" shim.

This opens up the choice of stems - anyone used one?

yeah, as above, or go custom. Most frame builders can do stems fairly easily. Choose your material, find a good builder, give them a call. If money was no object Steve Potts for Ti, FTW for alu and one of the UK guys for steel.

I've ridden about with two bikes with shimmed stems on 1" for 10 years now. No problems at all.
