They look quite like Cook Bros, but they're fluted down the sides, not on the back. I've had them for absolutely ages, they came on an old Marin Team Titanium I bought that had had lots of stuff upgraded on it. They're beautiful, but the non-drive side crank cracked so I removed them.

Full disclosure: this is my bike. It's lovely but I don't have enough excuses to ride it and I have too many bikes already. Original thread here:

Just interested in people's opinions, really.
Bit of a long story, but basically my wife's road bike is 10-speed, my road bike that sits on the turbo trainer is 10-speed and we fitted 10-speed shifter and cassette to my son's Islabike so he can play on Zwift during lockdown too, so I'm keeping...
Long story... we have a customer with a lovely steel Condor Fratello road bike and his ageing Campag bottom bracket has seized so firmly into the frame that we've managed to break the vice with the force we were putting into the thing! (while heating BB shell, cooling BB, soaked in Plus Gas...
Bit heavy on the soft focus (he needs to clean his lens!) but an interesting bike in good nick, by the looks of it. 650C though!

This is taking up space and needs to find a new home where it will be built up and loved!
The frame's about 14.5" c-c, 17" c-t (top tube 20.5"ish). It's basically in OK condition, the Impact headset and bottom bracket are running fine, the seatpost isn't seized, the Biopace rings are still...
Hi - I've got a customer with a lovely 653 Cougar, which has met with a nasty mishap and needs new forks.
Does anyone have any nice forks I could fit to it? I thought I'd bought some Kestrel carbon forks on 't eBay, but it looks like the seller is being useless...
Hi, I'm after a first road bike for a friend's son. He's a fairly tall 11-year-old so a 51-54cm frame would be ideal. It doesn't need to have great kit on it, ideally it needs 700c wheels so we can get hold of new tyres easily, it doesn't need to be in great condition - if it's too smart...
NOW SOLD - thanks!
As in the title, a barely-used Thomson X2 stem in black. Too long for me after all! It's in excellent condition, virtually as new - the thing that looks like a scratch in the steerer part of the first photo is just sun flare.
The stats: it's for a 1 1/8" steerer, it's 120mm...
I've decided to go with tubulars on my Lo-Pro TT project, so to pay for the parts these wheels have to go!
They're a pair of Campagnolo Shamal 650c deep-section aero wheels, from the Record end of the range from around 1992. Both wheels have 16 bladed spokes and roughly 42mm deep rims. The rear...
I must admit to having done no research on this, just preliminarily asking if anyone else has done it. I've got a pair of painted carbon forks and I'm just wondering about stripping the slightly scruffy paint off them. With steel and alu frames I've used Nitromors in the past before they diluted...
After this happened to my friend on Friday...
(cracked LH crank)
...he's asked me to find him a replacement chainset. I know that one's Campag, but all the rest of the kit on his bike is 7400 series Dura Ace.
Does anyone have a pair of cranks or a complete 7400 chainset for sale? Ideally...
I've just bought this lovely old bike, along with a quirky few others, from one of my customers. Neither he nor I know very much about the builder except what we could glean from the page on Classic Lightweights, that the bike was probably built in the 1930s or possibly early 1940s in or around...
To complete my quirky retro time-trial build, I'm looking for a Campagnolo rear mech to match the 8-speed cassette. The rest of the kit is Record (or Mavic and Royce) so I'm after something in pretty good nick if possible - evilBay keeps evading me. :(
I've been asked to rebuild a rear wheel on a customer's lovely Cougar, replete in mid-80s fluoro yellow / green fade paintjob. His old Mavic Open S.U.P.CD rim has worn seriously concave and I'm after a sympathetic replacement. Can anyone help me out please?
Thanks!
Pete
I'm not sure if this has been asked before - a quick search brought up a lot of mountain bike but few road bike threads... Which, in your opinions, are the nicest road bike brakes? Obviously Campagnolo Delta often get a mention, but they're heavy and functionally a bit weak. One of my customers...
Hi - as above, I'm after a Shimano Dura Ace 7400 seatpost. 27.2mm diameter, the kind with the aero fluting just near the top like this one:
Please let me know if you've got one for sale. Thanks!
I'm after a Campagnolo Record rear derailleur, to work with an 8-speed cassette and 8-speed Campag thumb shifters. Were all 8-speeds Record Titanium, or just some of them? The kit on the bike is all Mavic and Campag Record 8 speed from the late 80s / early 90s, I think.
Again, I don't know...
