Help! I have managed to put together a lovely Klein Pinacle build - but there is a final stage that is keeping it off the road... The original Axle was too long for the XTR crankset that I would like to use - it would not engage the outer chain wheel as it was too far out for the front mech. I...

So I'm trying to get to grips with the intricacies of the vintage road bike... If a frame has 120mm chain stay spacing, then it can fit an older rear cassette, but not a newer one!? :facepalm: Which will fit, which will not!? Help!
