Help - name the early german bike with Bull in its name

Ah! I was also thinking about Bulls; it appears to be a German brand, started back in 1995.

Help - name the early german bike with Bull in its name

Is it the name of the brand or the name of the model that is ending with Bull? One of the early German brands was Germans (with an ending "s"). Has Germans a model name ending with Bull in its bike catalogue?

The titanium weld and detail appreciation thread.

Don't remember if it was for this model year, but as you mentioned it, 6Al-4V was really rare as a tubeset. And indeed, it was simply non-existent! So 6Al-4V titanium sheets were rolled-up and welded as tubes to be used as a "tubeset" by Emery. The resulting "tubeset" was nevertheless fragile...

    Tubeset identification

The 1987 Mécacycle catalogue shows an early Zermatt built from Super Vitus 983 MB tubeset or optionally Columbus OR. The bike looks quite different than mine. The October 1988 issue of Miroir du Cyclisme has an excerpt showing a Mécacycle MTB resembling mine: It's titled "Speed One chez...

    Tubeset identification

Hi, I'm currently working on an old (Bio-Technica era?) Mécacycle MTB from France. You already know it from this post. Fillet-brazed frame and forks, except for the lugged bottom bracket shell: Unknown model and model year. The scarce photos of other Bio-Technica/Mécacycle MTBs show totally...

    Laiti 1988

Is it stock? Interesting then, as I've always thought that the various LYxx codes on the Sachs Maillard freewheel were a manufacturing code. Here, I can clearly read LY92, so implying it was manufactured in 1992. But if your Laïti is from 1988 with the original parts, the story is totally different.

VTT français? French MTBs / Components / Info / Pics etc.

Sorry, I don't remember. It's only when you brought back the Manufrance Mezenc into my head that I vaguely remembered having this pic of a Pilat in my archives. If memory serves me correctly, there was a change recently on Leboncoin allowing sellers to hold ads with no time limit. But perhaps...

VTT français? French MTBs / Components / Info / Pics etc.

Been there for years and seller never answered to any question. Similarly, there was for years on Leboncoin Manufrance's top-of-the-line Pilat model (ECS design). Once removed all the ugly bits, it's a nice bike :). Dead seller again.

    Modele Vitus Depose

Sorry, no practical knowledge on the approriate way of doing this. Just mentioning the J-B weld epoxy bond as I vaguely remember Paul Brodie repairing vintage Nukeproof carbon hubs with this epoxy in one of his YouTube videos.

    FORK-English: the final countdown!

It did help, thanks. About carbon structure, maybe @yakboy and @My_Teenage_Self and their fantastic Lotus have this knowledge?

How to "un-strangle" a seat tube?

Unfortunately no, the upper water bottle cage mount will block the seatpost insertion above the dent.

    Ritchey P-series bikes under license?

Hi, I was wondering if Ritchey was licensing the design of his P-series bikes? I know they were TIG-welded in Japan (except for the Team bikes) and finished in the U.S., most notably the seat cluster. Was the Japanese contractor a big company, able and authorized to manufacture enough bikes to...

How to "un-strangle" a seat tube?

About the brass instrument repair kit, I found it a super clever approach! I didn't knew such a thing was for real, thanks for the info. Now, the frame being steel, handling the magnet holding the ball inside the tube could be a fun thing to try out :)
