    For Sale Serotta T-MAX

Hello everyone, I am selling a Serotta T-MAX I bought from Germany a year ago. It comes with the fork of course and a titanium bottom bracket. The frame was repainted in metalic blue at some point. The head tube is 1 inch. Top tube length is 56cm (middle to midle) Seat tube length is 46...

    Anyone knows of Caterpillar bikes?

The EASTON stickers, seat and chainstays in the radavist article gave it away.

    Wanted TREK 8000 (1987 - 1989)

Hi everyone, I am looking for a TREK 8000 frameset from the late 80s. These were made of EASTON aluminium and had the rear brake in the chainstays. They were usually in red or the white / blue team combo but can also be found in other colors. The size I am looking is small or medium. Here is...

VTT français? French MTBs / Components / Info / Pics etc.

WOW This really looks like a keeper to me even in smaller size. Peugeot did some internal welds at the time too but tubing was not so spicy as this one. Stunner really! Anyone has a link with MBK catalogues?

VTT français? French MTBs / Components / Info / Pics etc.

I was not even aware of the Routens brand. I mean I know of the legendary rando Routens but I don't believe they are related? Anyhow they look very sophisticated tubing wise and welding wise too. I am curious to see if anyone will come up with a build thread in the future. I would love to see...

    Twisted tubes, bike ID required

And the plot gets a new twist... 😇 It's supper interesting to see more brands experimenting with twisted tubing. Having these tubes on lugged MTB it's even more special.

    Ma pépite du moutain bike

I so like the rawness of early MTBs. There is something tough about their looks and the fact that they have a more upright position makes you think the can handle everything. This was probably the case back in the day considering that the next best competitior of early MTBs were CycloCross...

Party bikes and their more mature, serious counterparts

I totally see what you mean. For me half the bike's worth is its paintjob. The nicer or more funky it is, the more I want to ride it. The coolest the paint job the faster it must ride... 🤓 This issue has been discussed at length in this forum too: The effect of different paint designs on...

I get dizzy the more I look at it! o_O Love the concept though... there are not many out there with these tubes.

    Opinion on Joytech Hubs

I was about to say too! They look like a much better version of STX tbh. My front joy tech has lose bearings and their shell is from cheap aluminium.

    1990 Centurion Lhasa Kathmandu

Based on the reaction the bike received in this thread so far I can already count quite a few BoTM votes... So my pushing you to post more pics in a thread wasn't that bad after all. All this to say that...I hope this qualifies me as a potential buyer in case you decide to pass along this rig...

    1990 Centurion Lhasa Kathmandu

Oh man, each time you come up with a new project I discover a new bike that I would like to own but didn’t know it even existed… This one seems to have a very nice history behind, especially because it’s one of the first MTB offered commercially in Germany. The background story about Himalayas...

    Opinion on Joytech Hubs

I have a joytech front hub on my city bike. It’s true that it has lasted over six years so far with most use in very rainy conditions. But when I opened to re grease it I can’t say I was very impressed with the quality of the bearings.
