Re: It's not a great system to be honest, if you have a thick walled aluminium steerer then the internal diameter can be too small to accept the wedge, I speak from personal frustration. Thinner walled aluminium steerers and steel steerers work fine.

Re: I have one of these and hated the steerer clamp mechanism, converted it to a standard external steerer clamp and works a treat.
