Fat chance Yo eddy - Lancs

knackered and 'small dent in top tube' appears to be hastily covered with a LARGE hope sticker ! you would have to sink another £1k into this to get it half decent - a project too far probably

Weigh 531C with canti stops £85 north wales

... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1329979758551202/ I have one of these already so can't justify - but nice frame with scope for gravel/cx/audax these build up into something surprisingly contempary and are well worth the effort PS - if anyone wants me to go get this and...

Looks like a great route, not sure about the contents of the bap, made with everything swept up off the abattoir floor?

    Today's Ride

Looks bloody marvelous, great pics and great choice of bike, looks perfect for the event and hopefully inspired a few folks to try vintage steel too. Glad it turned out well, I just might have to do this one myself next time, takes me back to the crazy Polaris events of yore. Well done indeed

    Repro “Onza Porc” white tyres

sometimes I read threads on this forum and wonder what all the fuss is about, I must have missed some important part of the evolution of what counts as cool stuff. there again I never understood the attraction of white trainers and for that matter most of the highly prized sneakers that...

    1987 Fat Chance

seller could be a member as they are probably referencing the 87 catalogue from this forum - which does list the Wicked as being available in blue with yellow fork. sadly most of the original components are long gone and would be hard to source now. looks like a substitute Marin...

    Raleigh MTB

british compressed air society award there? lol. this looks like a respray of an early 90s frame with some random decals - the strange temporary mounting of front carrier has no feasible attachment points on the fork since there are no braze-ons ( nor would there be on that age of...

UK/ European made off the peg Steel hardtails

understood, I am only going by what I have seen and touched and the quality is good on the singular frames so I think it comes down to small low volume batches made with care, versus high volume nastiness.

UK/ European made off the peg Steel hardtails

see above - singular swift may fit the bill - low volume off the peg, flexible builds

UK/ European made off the peg Steel hardtails

as above Shand could be a good place to start looking, they have open days frequently where you can go along and ride/test, plus two others I could recommend are Singular and Rat Bikes - depending what end of the UK you live...

UK/ European made off the peg Steel hardtails

Stayer my current UK favourite - eminently practical with 650B and disc , but has the look of a fierce 80s klunker https://www.stayercycles.com/product/staytb-frame/
