The steering felt a bit weird with the 155mm. stem. So when this 120mm. Ringlé I'd been watching for a few weeks came down to a reasonable price, I decided to grab it.

I missed yesterday's retro mtb group ride because I needed to sleep in. But I met up with some of the guys after for a few beers and a chat, and to check out their rides:

Yesterday's ride, listening to some tunes through a ghetto mounted Bluetooth speaker (as it's too unsafe to wear earbuds when riding) was just the ticket after a tough week at work.
And since I ended up being in the neighbourhood, I decided to pay a surprise visit to an old friend
I remembered that I had a Softride stem lying around, and decided to try it out yesterday
I was planning on a test run at the local pump track. But it started to rain, so that was a no-go. Instead I cruised some dirt paths in the same area, and got my tyres good and muddy :)
I get that comment quite often, but I don't quite get it.
I've got my fair share of back problems, but it always feels better after a ride. I hop on, lean forward a bit to plant my hands on the bars, and enjoy having zero pressure on my lower back 😊
