Anyone have one of these lying around? Or some spares?

I'm in need of the 20mm axle bit, but would take a complete hub too

Thanks

Not sure, will have a rummage over the weekend, I know I have at least one rear left.

That would be ace, thanks.

There's quite a bit of play in the ends and I've pulled it all apart but can't figure out how to adjust / tighten

I can't seem to figure out whether the ends even come apart? The bearings must be inside? It looks like there's some sort of circlip, does this come off to then remove the 20mm axle bit?

Cant remember if the original had cartridge bearings and the later had ball bearings, this may help

Mmm... Its those cup units that have play in them. I don't know whether those can be taken apart? Or whether I need newer ones of those

Yes, you need to take it apart to check the bearings, standard cup and cone, hopefully not damaged and just needs re-packing.

Yes I'm sure I read somewhere it was cup and cone... But I can't see anywhere for a cone spanner. Its certainly not anything like an older shimano lx, xt etc cup and cone

Never had to replace or service bearings in my 800's, always stayed smooth. All my 20mm axles had inward/outward play though, including my 810's and SLX hubs.

If you just pop the circlip off im sure it will be basic, they are designed to be serviceable and replaceable.

That sounds similar... Yes bearings seem smooth, just play in the outer axles.

I'll try and pop the circlip tomorrow and see if there's anything to adjust on the inside 👍
