Specialised Stumpjumper Pro. Early 90s??

Hi all, I’m a newbie so all advice gratefully received!

I’m guessing this is early 90s… not in the best nick but with a good number of nice original parts. I got it 15 years ago now and love riding it. What do people recon it’s worth??

All nice stuff if a little rough, with some work it could look loads better. Do you have a photo of the drive side crank, rear mech and the rear hub? All of those could influence how much folk think it could be worth.

Nice frame, missing the original fork, non-matching wheel set, and sadly even though there are some nice parts - everything looks well used.
Assuming it's currently functional, somewhere around the £100-£125 mark I'd say.

Similar frame here from 2020

Sold for ~£100, in much better condition and complete with the forks.

Without the original forks this one is quite a different story. Matching original forks would be very hard to find and reduce the potential value of this one.

The rear hub is a replacement.

Thanks for the steer, would happily take that for it! Needs a new chain but otherwise all functional.

On the looks of the last few pics if someone offers you £100 - take it!

In all seriousness, someone may really want the frame or the forks for refurbishment, so they may pay for the lot just to get a single item, with a hope of clawing a little back if they can sell the well used XT and XTR parts.

Hi I have the same bike (I've had from new 1992) but I sadly resprayed it a different colour and now I want to resort it to original colours (Specialized won't give me the codes). Is there any chance you could send me some close up shots of the two colours in good light? I guess it'd be too cheeky of me to ask to take it to a paint shop and get them to get the paint codes? Thanks ben
