I’ll throw in my freshly built Kileaua, built over two years from a sad rusty frame and 2 years of Covid searching for a full M900 groupset without selling a kidney. I built this as a homage to what I wanted as a kid although I’ve had much more fancy bikes since then, this is pure unadulterated nostalgia for me. I adore it.

You may have read my other thread, in which I was trying to decide what to do with this very tired 1991 Kona Explosif. Despite it looking as rough as a bears arse, it rides really nice. After having had a couple of sessions on it, the only niggles found are a sticking front brake and slight...

Here's my entry, 1997 Kona Explosif team edition.
I wouldn't have this bike were it not for Pip's kind intervention with Brian. Moreover, the stories we shared together with this particularly bike, through talking with Joe Breeze and Jake the snake really cemented our friendship. It's travelled far and wide including a soggy but super enjoyable ride with another legend now teamed up with Pip in the universal single-track, Fairfax Pat.
