Phillip "Pipmeister" MOCK KONA GURU AND LEGEND

Only I think my second RB post ever, I’ve lurked forever hereabouts but felt compelled to write something.
I worked with Pip on and off from 1998 to 2014.

I’m saddened by the news that he has gone, lots of memories, the lovely lovely bikes, deliveries of frames, forks, more forks, yet more forks, lightweight fittings and hardware, I sold him my SIDney forks, chats about music, cars, bikes, cycles, etc, etc, etc.

Tremendous respect for the way he approached and handled this challenge.

RIP Pip.

Despite not meeting him in person, I've spoke to Pip a fair bit on here in the last few years, bikes, music, and we had some bodily issues in common.

I don't think I've ever come across someone so humble, genuine and passionate. Whilst the last few years have been tough for most people, it's been a hundredfold for Pip and I've been constantly amazed by his inspirational approach to his illness and his remarkable positivity throughout.

Pipmeister - legend to the end.

I'll be taking a Kona out for a ride today.

My heart has broken. Haven't been on here in a couple weeks and just saw the 92 Hei Hei ig post from retrokona and my heart sank. Chatted with Pip a bunch over the years. We shared out love of Kona and sportbikes. He had always wanted to come to Vancouver and hangout at Railway ave. I would have gladly picked him up at the airport. I'm glad he was able to buy his motorcycle and talk to Tommy. He will be missed by all and I hope he is riding a Teesdale up in heaven. Much love Pipmeister. ❤️

Such sad news. Sincere condolences to the family and for those that knew him better than I.

I consider myself super lucky to be the custodian of one of his frames and hope he’s in a better place.

Very sad, thoughts with you guys who knew him well, and his family. Pip was kind enough to look up a few serial numbers for me over the years, and I'm fortunate enough to be the current keeper of his Explosif.

RIP Pip.
