Another British Klunker/Tracker/Chunker?

The layback on that post. Be warned. I bent one in a single ride with less.

blimey....this is a blast from the past...in Wiltshire in the 1970s we were on these doing 'Rough Stuff Fellowship' sort of stuff...only my Pacific in exactly the same colour way was a female frame, which of course gave brilliantly low standover height...useless off road in any other way, indeed every other way, but huge fun.

My thoughts exactly…

But then it’s only for a single ride 🤷🏻‍♂️

28lbs of silly… couple of bits & bats need sorting like a complete strip down & re-pack of the front axle and the BB as right now they are proper RAF!
Things I’ve also changed; swapped out the steel stem for an Aluminium short “GB” and the steel bars for some repro Raleigh aluminium swept back jobbies. The 2 ton saddle has been replaced by a 70’s Brooks Vitesse100 and an old school BMX post gets me up and over the back wheel…
The cheep steel stamped brakes have been swapped out for aluminium Weinmann & the stamped:folded steel levers likewise.
I’m thinking I’ll keep the steel wheels & 3sp Sturmey for the first race, then maybe swap them out with early 80’s 26” aluminium rims & hubs and go single speed for the following year.

Try 7/8 handlebars or 22.2 that will bring up motorcycle bars will need an adapter to 25.4 though unless you have a 22.2 stem
