Sold 1986 F. W. Evans

I’m surprised this hasn’t sold!

Actually it has "sold" twice now on eBay. The first buyer went silent after his offer was accepted. The second realised it wasn't going to fit him and asked for a refund.

I would very much like this to find a home on here - but I'm starting to consider my plan b. In the meantime I'm still open to offers...

Would have loved to give this a home but I fear 19 inches will be too large a frame for me. I usually ride 17 to 18. Also I'm in Denmark so postage would probably be a hassle. Lovely looking bike though..

Would you be able to post internationally?

It's possible but I'd need a box to get an accurate quote. I suspect the cost would be quite high - perhaps around £100? Re the size, in more modern i.e. 90s MTBs I ride a 19" but this felt a bit small for me.

Yeah I suspect it would be around 100 quid postage, perhaps more these days. I probably shouldn't but there's this itch, it's lovely looking build. I just compared the measurements to my 97 Rockhopper and it doesn't seem to be too far off in size... I'm 5'10 but prefer smaller frames so this could probably work for me. But I wouldn't feel comfortable asking you to get a quote if I were to not go through with the deal though so I think I will back out and cross my fingers that it'll go to a good home soon.. Maybe next time if it still hasn't sold 😊

Been riding this on some local trails and getting quite attached to it. But today I'm conscious of having too much stuff, especially bikes. Still for sale (reluctantly).

If it’s frame forks stem etc package - you can post for about £35 (I posted a Mi90 frameset to France for about that much last year) but the whole bike makes it much more expensive

Right it has now "sold" 3 times on eBay. Most recent purchaser pulled out when I sent the pics below to confirm he was OK with the current condition (I have ridden it almost 10 miles, admittedly some of them were in the wet). Those sidewalls are only brand new once! I get it, but 3 non-payers is getting a bit silly. Actually someone on here wanted it too, but then went very quiet.

Anyway I've given up on eBay but I'm open to offers on here and happy to sell frame only or partially built at this stage. I like this lots but I really need to sell a bike or 2. Drop me a PM if you're interested.

I wouldn’t sell it - it’s not worth selling for £250 which is a measly amount for this beauty.
Unless you’re desperate to sell. Otherwise I’d just leave it at the original amount and bump on occasions. To be honest if I had the spare cash I’d buy it but can’t afford it
