Cheers. The hubs are Shimano STX RC and look pretty decent. A big improvement on my tired old wheels on the Hardrock sp 93.

The guy i had off said they were road wheels. But when i checked what tyres were on them they are 1.75. Cheers.

Thanks for the response. I wouldnt mind giving them a service myself as they do seem quite a bit stiff. Any pointers on how? would be most gratefull.

Being give these forks. Thinking of sticking them on my Hardrock sport 93. Is it worth bothering?

Basically need a new crank 'drivetrain' , Bottom Bracket and 7 spd cassette. Not sure what to buy. Dont want to break the bank. Thanks for all comments. Also a suggestion of some old skool suspension forks.

Ist ride today back in the saddle...not good. Disappointing 1st ride today on mountain bike. Punchured. Changed tube only to punchure again. Dunno why check tyre for thorns and looked over the wheel. Forunately i didnt have to far to walk home around 4 miles. Never know me to have 2 punchures...

My retro ride is a Specialized Hardrock Sport circa 93. Bought it new. Slightly modded with Dx thumbshifters and Dx spds and Lx rear derailleur and other bits and bobs. Bought a new chain the other day. Just put my Diadora shoes on. Now to adjust my spuds. Then ready to unlease the beast!!
