Anyone into classic furniture

I'm pleased to find others here with the same problem as I have. Mine pushed into obsession territory when we bought a mid century box to store and display our collection. 20251112_100251~2.webp 20251112_100216~2.webp
House shopping was eye popping fun, this neighborhood was built in the 60, many original owners were moving out in favor of retirement condos. A house flippers paradise. Several places we weren't interested in, but made inquiries regarding the furniture.
"If the owner is dead, or downsizing..."

An Anglepoise ( 1227) that I cleaned and rewired to give as a wedding present.
The shade was in really good shape but ( for whatever reason) a previous owner ,had enlarged and made a real mess of the bulb holder hole.
I think my brass plate bodge up doesn't look too bad. ;)

Was that the original colour? I have a very similar anglepoise, given to me when I started working from home, it was old then, back in 1990! It is that very institutional beige colour though and I have often toyed with the idea of respraying it.
