Hi folks, I bought a Falcon Team Banana bike a few weeks ago, the fella I bought it off has converted it to a singlespeed. I have used it a few times but find it a bit cramped in the cockpit. Anyways looking at selling but dont know what its really worth! Any ideas guys?

Hi there,

I am thinking of selling my 731OS framed road bike.

The tubeset is pretty rare so hard to value.

It has fully low to mid range campag (does anyone recognise it)

MA2 rims and cinelli bars and stem.

Carbon seatpost and ti saddle.

There is a blot on the landscape tho, a small dent in the down tube.

any help much appreciated.

Thanks,

Roddy

Roddy. I think the group is Campag Xenon (2nd gen), if not Xenon then certainly a lower end with the painted finish and plastic lever on the Ergo's.

Shame about the dent in the downtube as it will seriously devalue the frame.

Split I reckon you'd get £100 for the frame, £150 for the group (including wheels) and a few quid for everything else. As a whole £200 - £250 imho.

Johnson22. Really don't know but reckon if you put it on Ebay you could get a decent figure for it with some decent shots and sort that rear mudguard out. At a guess, on a good day maybe £300+ (although make sure you take decent pics)

Novo. As I said before about £100.

Hi,
Im thinking of selling my old road bike and was thinking of either splitting it up and selling individual components or selling as a whole.

Frame: John Pavey 531C approx 1990? Red with close m/g clearence.
Wheels: Campag record and Mavic MA2 (rear axle and cup need replacing)
Brakes, campag record calipers (shallow), shimano 105 areo levers
Chainset: Campag record, Stronglight rings 53/42
Seatpost: Campag SR
Rear Mech: Campag SR
Stem: Shimano Dura Ace aero (1980's)
Bars: modern.
Frount MEch: Shimano 105 modern
Saddle: Sella Italia. Modern

Any thoughts on how to go about it? or what it may be worth?

Hi picked this up the other day but way to big so i will be selling to fund other projects any idea on value?
thanks

it's built up with all the goodies.
Campy26.8 seat post
Wright saddle
Campy Gran Sport 5 speed.
Magistroni cottered cranks and Prior pedals.
Cinelli Milano steel bars and badged stem.
Weinmann centre pulls
Weinmann alloy wheels 40/32 tubular 28" with campy hubs.
The frame is straight and solid in great condition and from what i can gather a 1959 model as thats the first of the serial number and has Campagnolo dropouts.
this is all i could find on the net http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/collection/database/?irn=341178&search=Bicycles&images=&c=&s=1
