I hope most of you guys will be able to read this. Two top notch German evergreens:
Nöll M6 and Juchem FS, BIKE Oct94

Evergreens, because Nöll and Juchem still have them in their line ups.
Nöll: http://www.noell-fahrradbau.de/
Juchem: http://www.juchem-bike.de/
As I not really like the componentry on the bikes pictured on the Nöll site, I scanned a page from the 1995 BIKE Markt that pleases me more:
I in particularly like the white-blue on top and the FB clear coated one. Clear coated and FB is sexy!:
I also have a much more recent review covering -again- the Nöll M6 and an awesome Wiesmann Koxinga. I remember the Koxinga, though steel, had a spectacular weight to stiffness ratio.

Sophisticated and an interesting bar/stem combo: Müsing Cazuela

Consider: You built a very fine frame, you finish it with powdercoating, you apply protective material against rocks and you use stainless steel bolts for the fished product - all top notch. Finally you equip it with some TransX and Tektro stuff.... I never understood. If I had ever bought one first thing I would do is to get rid of those parts!

There still is a Müsing in business, but that Müsing has not much to do with the old Müsing. New Müsing: http://www.muesing-bikes.de/ _________________ CU @ OWMTBC 2010

Excellent scans Elev12k. I'm slightly ashamed to say I wasn't ever aware of these German brands, in fact the only German makes I can remember are 'Wheeler' and 'Bike-Tech'.
I especially like the look of the Noll steel frames.
Der Jan is looking young (and lean) in that Musing catalogue. |

Roberts and Yates are (in the main) custom builders. The only decent UK high end brand I can think of off the top of my head is Pace (and maybe Raleigh and Saracen in days gone by). Of course there are many smaller builders like Whyte, On One (debateable), Cotic etc etc.
Dave Yates is still going having recently left M Steels on Tyneside where he was based.
Roberts is still going strong and still taking orders for Dogs Bolx. |

Thanx! I couldn't find the Yates site and Cotic is new to me.
More Juchem and Nöll content I stumbled upon when going through my vintage BIKE issue's:
Juchem Custom Light
Nöll M3 - Nowadays the 'cheap ass' modell (..) in the line up, back then there also was a M2. _________________ CU @ OWMTBC 2010
