*modern-ish. By Our standards. Still archaic by the standards of others.

I'll be bringing my two moderns but then I'm actually competing next year for charity (hence the 24 solo/fruit cake category) so will be hanging around you lot but 'going for it'.

Of course if funds (and car space) allow I will be bringing a sub £50 pre-2000 as last year. Will never forget the thrills that cheap unbranded tyres, kids bike V brakes and a tatty old Kona with bright blue bars bought on some of the technical sections

(yes I had to take the train up hence the backpack and having to cycle from the course to the train station )

Right

Have been working on a low impact 12v sound system.

Have got 88db out of a set of old JPW shelf speakers and one of these

Am looking to achieve around 95db so will investigate the Bose 301 that I have and the Accoustimas system I also have lying around.

I may go for a slightly bigger amplifier.

All 12v, no generators, just a few batteries and 'camp friendly' - dont want to be kicked off.

That little amplifier is not doing so badly! 88db from a Pioneer Reference A676 and some German Magnat hifi speakers.

Obviously a lot more bass. But if I rig up a subwoofer to help things along...
