Thanks,

Just built it up last week. Going to take it down to cornwall for 2 weeks in June to put it through its paces.

Thanks

Amp is nearly done but would like to do something with the springs either painted black or ti?
also there are a few ti bolts still to go on and the seat clamp doesnt do it justice, its just the one that was with it in 98 when i got it second hand.
all links and bushes are new thatnks to Brion La Belle at AMP who also supplied the fork decals.

I believe your Kilauea is very rare and certainly the first I've ever seen that looks like that. It clearly differs from the US-market 93 Kilauea and the rest-of-the-world two-tone model shown below. On the other hand, your bike has 93 decals and a 93 Project 2.

One thing that occurs to me is that the very first batch of Kilaueas was brought out late in the 92 model year, far too late to be in the catalogue. I've never seen one, but I just wonder whether your bike could be one of those first 92/93 models?

The frame and forks were purchesed from Canada on Ebay about five years ago. I dont know why its one colour I thought maybe you could get both colour in singular format. I used to have a 1994 with the silver and black decals and orange spiral from new but that was more of a grey colour similar to the stem pictured.
Does anyone know where I could get a replacement Tange Presteige decal?

Heehee, when I saw that Kilauea I was wondering how long it would take you to find this thread Anthony, my thoughts were exactly the same!

Nice bikes all round too, love the Cinder Cone and the ParkPre is looking on the way to being pretty sweet too.

Just to keep the party going, having said this was the first possible 92/93 Kilauea I had seen, here's another one!

Also the North American catalogue picture with yet another colour, described as 'Porsche Red Titanium'.

Harry, is your frame made of Tange Prestige Concept like the 94 one, with the top and down tubes ovalised and tapered?

Where on earth do you dig all this stuff up from?

Looks like a Concept sticker on the seat tube btw...

Yes the tubing is concept tubing, aslo note the orange shadow to the decals look the same as the one in your pic, but the others have a dark purple shadow.

The car for those interested parties is a 1985 Golf GTI. aslo in the fleet '77LS, '79 LS and '79GTI.

is the concept tubing late 93 then? as the orange was used in some form on 94 models.
