It's Tim, Tom is my cousins name, and I've had my grandmother calling me Tom all night

I can try, but to be honest, I'll do most of it by checking against Bikepedia, and the numbers on the 4 DBs I have in my possession currently. Also helps if it's mostly original, the gearing often gives it away. I didn't even bother with my Sorrento, as I was so annoyed with myself, will check mine at the same time. Mine is too big for me (22"), and the crank arms don't match, but other than that is in better condition than yours. If anyone wants it, I'll sort pictures. It owes me £50 posted

I'm also out on the bike 3 hours from home tomorrow, so may not get a chance until Monday.

After a quick check, I think it's a 97
http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=1997&Brand=Diamondback&Model=Sorrento&Type=bike#.UIMlRYYsRc4

To be fair, they aren't that bad. The geometry is actually quite nice to ride, it's just they are built with the cheaper heavier tubes, and have crap componentry on them.

I aquired an old Diamond Back which cleaned up and rode very well indeed, despite not being the most high end specced bike. Was sold eventually to an old fella (Must have been in his mid to lat 70's) who caught the bus to collect it and then rode the 25 miles back home. He was planning to take it to Holland where his daughter lived so he could go out riding with her. I even gave him some Schwalbe City Jets so he could ditch the knobblys when in Holland. He was over the moon with it :D
