I went with the 21mg nicotine patches for 3 weeks. That allowed me to kick the habit before I dealt with the nicotine addiction. Much easier that way.
I've been smoke-free for 2 months now, and can be around smokers without any craving. Persevere, it's worth the effort.

try and do 3 half hour turbo trainer sessions a week to start re-habing my knees so I can ride properly again when (if) the decent weather comes back.

This. Plus cleaning them more often to deal with the road salt. And still going running however cold it is.

Also, getting ahead on my studying so I have time to go out riding at the weekends.

How about October 28th for the bike jumble and ride Lewis?
