well, never reckoned the the wolds to be to so dramatic and sun-drenched!

Thanks to chris and ben for the creation and guidance in this area.

Sunday, i should be snoozing but, gotta get some riding done and what a fantastic route with a warm, dry(ish) day to get us rolling. We certainly had a laugh and tested our unfit bodies. some mechanical failures with longun's tyre shed episode so early in the ride! A-TEAM style he was cruising the wolds once more and just about made the ride.

Well done rich(ringo) some climbs were beastly and you did very well.

more later....

slap your reparte and pics here. cheers.

I saved my best kit for the ride too, be rude not to. :)

the music and sacrificial ceremonies in the village was interesting and non-cake sharing but, had a nice beer garden.

:)

Big thanks to everyone for turning up, any route can be fun with the right company and as always there was a great selection of bikes to look at!

I'll pop my very poor selection of pics up in a min now the site seems to be working again.

Chris are the vids any good or can't you view them without uploading them 1st?

Ditto, I have already thanked Chris and Ben (Indirectly) for organising this one, yet another fine day out with a good bunch of guys. I have to say that this is becoming something to look forward to, more for the crack than the biking ;-) My legs are shot for a few days I reckon. Also a big thank you to the chap who threw me a spare tube when I got a puncture, the tyres Chris sold me were clearly not up to the job ;-) Can't remember for the life of me who passed the spare tube, I owe you one all the same.

A few tumbles, one puncture, one shredded old and tired tyre and many laughs were had and I had a nice 'Dettol Bath' when I got home to ease the nettle stings on my tired old legs.

Here's to the next one... keep 'em coming Chris and Ben.

A few rubbish phone snaps below:

Great day and stunning scenery...

Was OK till we stopped in that Village then I kind of seized up!

Anyway, you were all great, and as an incentive to those who would like to come along but fear their fitness and the length of the ride - don't worry, you will be in good hands and someone will look out for you!

Anyway here's my pics...

1st breakdown, Longun's sidewall has seen better days...

Fluffy Chicken perusing while Longun botches his rear tyre issue.

Some of the Gang

A welcome rest, just before the only shower...

Image

Second problem, rear puncture... soon sorted

Image

The Italian Stallion (with Marctwotone!)

ChrisV40 finds some mud.

Image

Group rest while ChrisV40 ponders where to get a water bottle refill from.

Marctwotones Backside... ChrisV40 looking frisky! Long'un looking elsewhere...

Image

Weather was great!

Image

Food stop...

All in all a great day, only improved by an impromptu call into the McDonalds on the A64 on the way home!

see y'all soon!
