AS far as I'm aware these are not kili comp frames, I think they are bankrupt frames. I've seen one on here before.

I could be wrong but still a nice frame just not a Kili. Shame because I really want one

I'm pretty sure they are kili frames, a batch that was never badged up though. There are a few eamples on here of them in the readers bikes part, by all accounts are great frames.

Think this was the one I was supposed to buy but the seller vanished. Guess I'll get in touch. These are very nice frames btw.

They are nice bits of kit - the ebay one was little battered for my liking.

Heres my too small 17" version:

I think you could be right.....
But a quick glance at the 96 Saracen catalogue would suggest it maybe made up with bits from a 96 Kili Pro.

http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/d/1 ... 98a9468032

I say bits of a 96 kili pro, as I don't remember them having S shaped rear stays, Saracen are well known for parts bin specials and these frames look like they were just that.

There is one way to solve this and that would be to ask the right questions to the right forum member  (not me  )

Personally I think they were made in 97/98 with spare tube sets from 96 and later 97/98 seat stays, as a special deal for one of Saracen's top selling shops or as a favour for someone in the trade to sell as there own shop brand, that's why the S on the TT was brazed over.

Well i won this frame, just waiting for the chap to sort out packaging for me. I'm not too bothered about the condition of the paint, which i don't really like, so i'm thinking all white with red and gold stickers. Not sure, anyway i'll keep everyone updated as i gather bits over the next few months.

I'll try and keep it retro but fear i may have to put a modern ext chainset on.

I have two of them - extremely good frames. IMO better than e.g. the later Reynolds 853 Kilis. About as good as steel frames get.

Funny, I love the paint job and really couldn't stomach an external on an old steel frame (why would you? :? ), but of course it'd be dull if we all liked the same!

Hope you enjoy the ride, be interested to hear your opinion of the frame.
