I should imagine headlines along the lines of, "First blood to Nalbandian at Queens!".

In fairness to the guy i think he just saw red and he has apologised :

"I know that I made a mistake, 100 percent, and I apologize. I feel very sorry to the guy. I didn't want to do that.

"But sometimes you get angry and can't control yourself in moments like that. These moments happen many times, well to me anyway.

"Maybe you throw a racquet or maybe you scream or maybe you do something like that.

"When I hit the board, I didn't want to do it that bad. But that's the way it is. Sometime you cannot control that few seconds."

Nalbandian was clearly genuinely upset that he had hurt McDougall, who briefly appeared to remonstrate with the Argentine after the incident, and admitted he could have few complaints about the punishment."

Still he had to go, there's no doubt about that.

If a teacher , nurse or police officer had a similar outburst the consequences could affect their whole lives.....he's an idiot!....he was even ahead in the match!.....

The Met are looking at it apparently.

Could be a hefty compensation payout I suppose.

Possibly his last final, what a way to end a career.

I don't see what there is to look into, its not assault unless there was an element of intent.

Someone is wasting their time, a civil case on the other hand especially seen as there is all the evidence and a clear injury could prove quite profitable.

Teachers are pretty much unsackable and police officers have been seen doing worse on camera and carried on with their careers.

Still a pathetic reaction to losing though, but perhaps it shows he has a bit of passion, shame he didn't channel it into the game.

Sorry, but as a professional, he should be in control.

Granted that tennis is a game where it's very hard to vent, but it should never happen.

Saying the 'right' thing after it's happend just doesn't cut the mustard.

I think he should be on the end of a hefty ban...at least!
If a footballer attacked an official in this way they'd be hung out to dry.
Stroppy twat!
