Hi Rick,
PM sent with a bit of detail about your RC41. All of the symptoms that you mention would suggest it is time for a service/rebuild-details sent.
It is quite important to service the Pace alloy stanchion forks(or at least strip/clean them) fairly regularly, if left for more than 12 months the dirt caught inside will contaminate the bearings and ruin the anodising. Once gone the fork is only fit for the grave as crown/stanchion assemblies are running low now(RC39 ones now all gone) and it costs around £250 to replace them.
