I acquired the frame last year :) I was going to wait 'till I had all the parts before starting the thread, but the 'Britsh Steel' thread got me started on it

So, out with the polishing kit before taking some pics.....

Image

The frame has come up really well, with a nice deep lustre to the paintwork. The pics don't show it off that well unfortunately

I plan on a mostly M900 spec and it has taken a while to find nice stuff that isn't too expensive

Chianset with Middleburn ti bolts

It's really rather clean :D

As are the STi units :D

With a nod to Dave Lloyd's 'roadie' heritage; a Dura-ace headset is fitted.

That's all for now :)

Cheers

That frame looks fantastic, I too tried to score this from the website, but he refused to sell even at way above his asking price. Can't wait to see it built up, I don't think it needs the gold middleburn bolts though....

I have to say that, whilst this is not exactly my cup of tea, I suspect the finished bike is going to be pretty damn amazing... 8)

8) Like the frame. Tasty workmanship.

Also that is the best name for a mtb.

Donkis Knob was bad taste. Dogs Bolox was just rubbish. I wouldn't like to own a bike with those names.

Great looking frame, its going to be very pretty with all that nice XTR hanging off it!

The paint is amazing - it is very like the colour of a CATS WISKAS in a catalogue I have for Dave Lloyd.

Looking forward to seeing it finished :D
