I picked one of these up recently, an early version with the steel rear end and cantilever brake cable "roller." I was stumped at how to engineer the roller without all the original parts, and internet threads on this site and others weren't much help. Here's what I came up with:

How it's supposed to be (from Mountain Biking Nov 92):

I used a standard Shimano M900 straddle cable with satisfactory (albeit temporary) results:

Not of mine as yet(hence the booklet) but as soon as the Paula cantis turn up from the USA/decals and the rear swingarm from the sprayers it can finally come together!
