Clockwork started it all for me back in the early 90's, and after saving my paper round money for nearly 2 years to replace my Raleigh Team Maverick there was only one choice for me then, and now.

Fellow cloggie stump'91 and his colourful Marin take my vote, lovely.

So how did we end up replacing such wonderfull coloured paint jobs for a choice of ano grey or Black?

Enjoy!!

Based this one purely on looks.

At Mossy's request I've pulled the GT Avalanche. It does seem likely it is Japan made by Toyo as gm points out. As others have stated it should have a serial number prefixed with T .

Some good bikes, any of which I'd be happy to own, but choice comes down to Avanti or Merlin for me, partly because of the "usual suspects" nature of many of the other makes. Let's see more of the lesser known brands.

Also meant to add - no idea what happens to those who voted for the Avalanche - assume you can vote again?

What a tough decision to make!! those Oranges are lush, the Haro is a cracker too and that Avanti is to die for... But i was only ever gonna vote for a Marin because they're my faves... Sorry WD Pro, if only you'd but some different tyres on you'd have had my vote.

I'm not 100% sure but Brigestone were usually made in Japan…
