That's very nice indeed. I've seen plenty of his touring bikes, and one or two road racers, but I had no idea Berthoud had made mountain bikes. Do you know if he built many?

Gilles is best known in France for his updated take on the traditional French touring bike. He's become known for his wide range of touring accessories, including sturdy metal mudguards, canvas and leather bags, dynamo lighting, and leather saddles with replaceable tops.

He also makes some very nice (unperforated) leather handlebar tape.
