Picked this up in a swop with my LBS manager. It was his Uncles who was apparently a dedicated roadie.Bought as something to train on offroad as mtbing was becoming the thing 8)

I was lucky in that most of it is original parts with the exception of the rear hub,the brakes/levers and the shifters.

I've since bought some proper XT canties and levers and a pair of deore thumbies then replaced them with the proper XT m730 groupset thumbies, to replace the modern cheap sti units and the LX v's that came on it. and get it running
Frame is in OK condition,a few battle scars but minor really.

List pf parts that came fitted-

Frame - Verlicchi hardtail Seat tube 17" C-C ,Toptube 21 1/4" C-C
1 1/4" headtube.
Fork- Marzocchi XC100 -Retained
Headset Xt m737-Retained
BB- XT m730-Retained
Stem- Verlicchi stamped stem 1 1/4" quill 31.8mm clamp
Bars- unknown 31.8mm flat, cut to a roadie narrow of 510mm - Replaced with ritchey 31.8 [to be stripped to sliver and polished]
Cranks XT m730[original rings]-Retained
Mechs XT m735-Retained
Brakes- LXm570 parallel push- Replaced with XT m730 canti's
Shifters/brake levers- Alcera STI- Replaced with XT Thumbies
Front wheel-XT m730 hub on FIR m122- Replaced with XT m730 on Aleasa rim
Rear wheel-STX-rc hub on FIR m122- Replaced with XT m732 on Alesa rim
Tyres- Toiga psycho TT grey on black skinwall - Replaced with amber sidewall schwalbe hardliner [Still to arrive]
S/post- Kalloy 27.0mm-Retained
Skewers- TransX QR- ] Replaced with old shimano[not sure]
Saddle Selle Tri-matic bianchi branded- Replaced with Turbo
Pedals- Wellgo C27- Replaced with shimano spd
hg50 i think cassette & chain :? both new
[I hate this bit ]
Thoughts ? :D
As is usual theres next to sod all info to be found online

That has been for the most part polished.Im trying to keep costs down :?

Ive been neglecting my wee project though i have managed to get the mechs and cranks polished up.
Fair number of marks scratches etc but a bit of hard work and theyre as good as new :D
Brakes and shifters have also polished up nice.I cant remember seeing thumbies as shiny as they are now.Not even originally

At present
[sorry,not my choice of wallpaper]

Im using 1 1/4" controltech risers as its the only bar i have in,the one that came with it is cut too short to fit everything on.
