My very first mountain bike was a yellow splatter Lava Dome :) Bought with encouragement from a mate when I was at University.

Here it is, in the Lake District; a few years ago

Sold it to a mate (who modded it for his mrs!) when I bought my KHS Montanna Team. He wouldn't sell it back to me :(

But spotted a frame on ebay and had to have it ;) Now got it built up as a replacement for my '98 Explosif "run-a-bout" which is sold.

I had most parts, had to source a few things due to different sizes, cable routing etc. The 1" ahead forks being the most difficult to souce, so not strictly original ;)

I'm pleased with how it looks. A few pics....

Thanks for the comments :)

It's really quite nice to (almost) have my first mtb back again :D

Although, I think my original one was a smaller frame :?

Cheers

Hi Martin,
your bike is freeesshh.
What make is the cable stop for the front break?
Lookwise i would say it's much nicer quality than most of these thingies i have seen. Is this a cnc part?
Cheers,
Adam
