Macretro - Baltic Bawbags Pitlochry Classic - 30th Jan 2011

There is a road under the A9 just north from the visitor centre, might be a possibility do the route anticlockwise and the downhill would be immense.

These are measuring at the 10 mile mark but I reckon it will be further due to inaccuracies, a call into escape route might clarify things, as will looking at the hill when we get there.

Jamie/Mr P if you are coming from the north could you glance up at the pass to see what it is like.

Killie pass anticlockwise (up thought pitlochry and past golfcourse) not sure about the link along the side of the A9 though.

Wider Route (more likely to be iced up)...

It should be noted I have no idea what the pass of Killecrankie is, I just like saying 'I'm going up the pass of Killiecrankie'.

I thought it was jimmy crankie's pass you liked :) - the route does look good though, but might be a bit much at this time of year.

the bloke at escape thingy , one of the original dangerous brothers ala
team moont ?

why not just do a mystery tour

Passed off as fit to ride. Thumbs up for sports massage and Arnica :D

What I really meant to say was, I shall be at Pitlochry for 10.30 on Sunday. I may also be accompanied by a bike that will be using wires and rubber as a stopping mechanism.

Wires and rubber as a stopping mechanism.............tangling a bungee hook in the wheels seems a bit unscientific, have you tried cantilever rim brakes, I hear there all the rage ;)
