Thanks for the tips for the lawn gump :roll: It was new four years ago but all I've ever really done is mow it. You're right, there's a load of clover and weed in it and I've just recently spread some lawn treatment over it, really should start again it's gotten that bad.

tips for lawn...
cut not too short regularly, say 25mm.
Use a quality cylinder mower!
Scarify at beginning of growing season.
Airate lawn buy taking little nuggets out.
Fill nuggets with sandy stuff
apply fertaliser/weedkiller regularly
Water regularly
Use correct grass for useage and sun/shade
et voila! easy see
