Dunkers big bad build thread

Aluminium but grubby as I got rudely interrupted before I could finish stripping and cleaning it.

Rob, I've got etch primer and then white standard primer to finish off that layer of paint.

I won't get any more done today as I'm having to actually work, and Im busy most of tomorrow but I'll hope to get the stripping finished, cleaned with some wire wool and degreaser. then hopefully the etch primer on. The aim is to have it recognizable by Sunday night.

Gazz I thought it was aluminum but the standard of welding looks :?
Some of it looks like steel others aluminum.

.

Welded in America by American craftsmen. Badly. Very expensive tubing chucked together by people who obviously didn't care.

In terms of a polished finish I was tempted but I've bought the paint now. And it's a bit common nowadays

I have just acheived a magic chainline so I'm chuffed at that, used a half link :D cable up the rear brake( I was on my way for a cable) and change the pads. Then I'll try a wee bit of fettling to get sub 18lb.

Liked the sign above the sink, seems to be a bit late for that

And it's even worse now, lots of orange bit for some reason

The orange is the wire wool your using, I wouldnt use wire wool on a Alu frame to abrasive and not needed.
