Cassettes & lockrings.

The shimano 8spd cassette on my bike is looking pretty worn, so I've ordered a replacement 8spd cassette made by Sram, along with a Sram 8spd chain and some shimano compatible jockey wheels.

Will my Pamir Hypercracker thingy fit the Sram cassette lockring? it works fine for Shimano

In short yes it will.

If you happen to have a spare Hypercracker though, I'd be very interested in buying it.

I "re-discovered" the Hypercracker at the bottom of my toolbox a few months ago, neat little thing tbh.
I only remember having the one though, sorry.

wow so it turns your bike into a giant lockring tool!
would you then use the chain for chain whip purposes?

yes, the chain acts as the chainwhip tool.
I never needed to use it out on the trail, but it worked well enough as a "workshop" tool, I still haven't bought another cassette tool or chainwhip
