I was fed up with it.....(magura content) carbon update!!!

You can if you need to just unscrew the bolt that holds it to the quick release side of the brake and take it off then replace the bolt, best to use them though.....mind you the old manitou bikes did not have them fitted so ...........

The mounts on the top of my magura are 80mm apart, where the booster fits.

the actual brake mounting bolts are also 80mm.....

I asked because there is a lot of trials companies making boosters.
a lot.
But most of it has spacing around 100 mm due to extra wide rims.
Maybe you could find something. Iwill try to look if i dont forget..

absolutely. Most of companies play it too safe and make boosters with too much clearance.

Thankyou,I was thinking of buying some carbon sheet and making one myself :? cant be that hard

Cutting or sanding carbon is rather dangerous, well the dust is  .I'd recommend you invest in a decent mask.

A fellow retrobiker, who shall remain nameless, helped me out by making this lovely carbon booster for me,it arrived just before my enforced holiday so I have not been able to report back but it fits perfectly looks cool and does the job nicely

Thanks my retrobiking friend.........
