I have a pair of F3's (courtesy of Al), but they're a touch on the soft side for me. Is it a case of getting a stiffer spring (currently black) or is there any way of adjusting the damping unit?

Reasonaly easy if you have the right tools, i made mine. Once apart it's just a case of draining the oil and replacing with what weight you need.

Hi, the damper cartridge unscrews then dumps oil on you!

Be carefull not to make a mess of the outer alloy body when removing.
Protect with a cloth then get grips on if you need! The complete body unscrews from the front if i remember corectly.

I dont know which oil to use but something lighter than heavier.
But do not over fill as this will screw the feel of the damper and may pop the seal.
Make sure when you screw back together its tight enough not to shake loose as this can happen.

Cheers,Al
ps if you need anymore info pm me.

thanks for the advice. I've adjusted the preload nut and it seems a lot stiffer now so may see how that feels out on a ride before opening 'er up!

about to go out for a blast! :D

If they creak urinate on the pivots!

No i am not joking and yes its a strange world we live in.

Cheers,Al
