Kona alternative rigid fork, ideas please.

The later rc30's ( not carbon) and the rc31's (carbon) were available in different lengths.

On-Ones inbred rigid fork or one of those pace like carbon forks off ebay provided your happy with a new fork ;)

Any fork better than the P2 is going to be a daft price.

Salsa Cromoto is a better fork than a Project 2, in my opinion.

Tapered legs, stainless dropouts, available in 425mm and not a silly price either.

Ooh, they look nice. Do they do a rim brake version?

I like the tapered legs, similar to a Vicious Cycles fork... Now there's a thought

Wiggle are doing them for £63 just now. And they have brake posts.

It may be better than the modern ones, but it ain't a patch on the originals, ride wise, looks wise or weight wise; half a pound heavier, with looks to match. A Kilauea desreves better. Isn't the stainless dropout model a dumbed down version of the original True Temper Cromoto?

The Salsa cromoto is a brilliant fork for the money.

Owned one for a while now on a couple of bikes easily the most comfortable rigid fork I have ridden.

Just over 1000g with the steerer cut.

Just cut the canti bosses off of mine today for a new project :D

A couple of pics on bikes present & past :

Rim brake and disc brake mounts - just cut off whichever you don't need ;)
