Weight: no idea, but quite a lot by modern standards!
So, a fair mixture of original (I presume) parts plus some early 90s upgrades to the transmission. The immediate steps will be to put new grips on and replace the abomination of a saddle. I have a pair or Suntour Mountech F&R mechs plus Suntour Power thumbies on the way. I'll need to find some suitable 4-finger brake levers too, Shimano, Suntour or Dia-Compe would all be fine I think. Replacing the rear wheel will be the trickiest I think, and I'm pretty certain that a matching Ambrosia rim will be almost impossible so I'll be happy finding a hub and building it into the unmarked rin that's there.
Beyond all that, I think a wholesale swap will be on the cards as I've been hoarding a Campagnolo Centaur gruppo, including wheels, which would be spot on here for a cruising parts. Furthermore I'm waiting on a 1983 Stumpy frame from the US and the Shimano/Suntour setup would be ideal for that!
