campag

i like it, i remember seeing it on a bike called a zinn? i think that was the make. it looked slick!

Campag is SEXY

Campagnolo

I mean look at it... Just look at it!

Chainset and brakes would go straight on my number one bike. XT is on there right now

In fact, I'm on the hunt for a Campag triple chainset, putting my money where my mouth is!

Notwithstanding, it is true that changing gears while hammering might get you into trouble with Campagnolo OR conversely there is no denying that Hyperglide is an awesome technology... It works

I think that was the deciding factor in competitive MTBing you couldn't change gear as well with OR compared to XT... the end

But away competitive MTBing we care about other things too.... Shimano's quality can be extremely patchy in terms of finish and as for aesthetics? XTR... grey? Hmm nice one

I tend to stick with XT cos XTR looks like it's made of plastic and is horrendous when scratched

And what is it with the flimsy decals on so much Shimmy stuff? Can't they cast or stamp logos and branding?

Also the fact that Shimano makes loads of rubbish components too, means that they have much less brand allure and kudos

Sorry turning into a bit of a what I hate about Shimano rant so I'll shut up

BTW my wife bakes cakes, I encouraged her to do a battenburg and it was amazing:)

Campag's compact chainset methodology definately puts them on a cool wall :

That ad is a lovely bit of bicycle engineering porn!

When is that ad dated? I notice the inboard lock ring holding the the inner and middle ring on and the smaller diameters with great interest...
