T-Cut on Old Frames

I've got a 70's Claud Butler frame in a non metallic Golden Yellow colour which has a rather dull finish.

Would T-cut be the best way to bring the colour back to life or would it be too abrasive.

The paintwork is not badly faded just a little dull.

Should I try a good quality car polish first.

Thanks for your comments.

re-finish

Try MER or FARECLA polish from an automotive shop; far less abrasive and leave a terrific finish after buffing

Also look at Scratch X by maguires, they're a big American company who specialize in car detailing, I used it on my 1995 Kona and it brought back the shine.
They have a website and can usually be found in automotive stores.

Only problem I've found using car waxes on frames is any dings or scratches leave you with a white chalky mark that's a pain to buff off. Having said that, my frames are a lot more manky than anything I've seen on here, so I tend to clean mine with an oily rag :D

Farcella followed by 3m super resin glaze which it fills any mirco scratches perfectly,do not use T cut it contains amonia and will do more harm than good
