Sweet restos!

in year order...

1963 beetle just been driven into by a seventeen year old boy two weeks ago. Two grand of damage.

1964 type 3 notch on air shocks, brms, resto stylee.

1974 alfa romeo spider on minilites. Red of course.

1990 Audi coupe 2.3 just been through complete rebuild.

1995 Audi coupe 2.0. All of them are used by the wife and myself weekly and yes i am a spoilt git.

If i ever get on bloody broardband i will post pics of them.

You can see the notch on restowagen.com under cornwall jamborree pics.
Its also the one used by matt keen in the volksworld how to lower a type three a few months back.

Cheers,Al

oh and all the other random shite i watch. Ho Hum!

I have a '73 Citroen DS. Fabulous car, I drove it to Secretnaziland (Switzerland) and back in August - quite simply the most comfortable car I've ever driven.

It's away for restoration and a bare metal respray over the winter, hopefully it'll be back in time for any spring retromeets.

Dont tell my mrs shes wanted one for years.

But then again if she does buy one i could justify getting an SM.

Hope your going to paint it black? They are fantastic in black and have a real sinister look about them.

Good luck with the build. Cheers,Al

Mine..before it died

My lovely CX until this time last year....now deceased :( Had it for 8 years and loved it.
Got that modern XM thing in the background 'til I find enough money and the right CX to replace it...
\Oh damn...don't know how to post pic
Ebaystuff034.jpg

Ah..thats better

All hail the CX - Citroen's most beautiful creation (IMHO).

Nice one Harry. A beautiful car. And the XM is "the last of the genuinely weird lunar vehicles from Citroen".

I love CX's. Never had one, but had a long history of other Cit's. GSA's, Ami 8 super, 2cv, BX. Love 'em.

And I love that Notch btw. And Mrs Wu wants teh beetle. :D

No retro cars for me though.

Great looking cars guys!

Here are my past retro cars:

Ford Capri 2.0 Laser in 1998 (before they were retro really!)
Jaguar XJ-S and a BMW E30 320i (in 2001)
BMW 635CSi in 2002
Volvo 740 2 off between 2005 and now.

I am currently carless and have decided to spend the next year cycling and using the train. The money I save will decide the next retro car.

If I spend it all in the mean time: Daihatsu Charade Gtti :D
If I am kind of careful and good: Audi UR Quattro / BMW E30 M3 :D :D
If I am a very very good boy: Porsche 911 3.2 Carerra :D :D :D

As you can see my taste is for retro cars with modern usability and a lot of fun factor! Belive me I am trying to be careful, wait for the retro meet next year when the Porsche turns up with a Pace on the roof! I'll be in heaven (especially with Robert Palmer on the Blaupunkt Tape deck!!!)
