Waiting on arrival from the leicester bikes for all people,

I told my son if he buys an old school bike when he grows out of it he could sell it for a similar price - even a profit if he does it up, he liked that idea.

This one will clean up well.

Is anyone able to date this? I think it is a MK1 but am not sure, can you date raleighs from the frame number?

nice buy glad you got one in the end looks just right for that skateboard park you said it will be on, looks around 85-92 to me but might be wrong so dont quote me on it hope he has fun on it though

It's a MkI - the looptail rear end gives it away - otherwise it would be two separate tubes with an R cutout in both rear dropouts ;)

I'd say with it being a MkI and with those decals it looks like 84

Does it have a visible serial number anywhere?

Should either be behind the seat tube towards the top of the tube, underneath the BB or on one of the rear dropouts

I'll let you know as soon as I get it, waiting on the royal mail, should be this week but you never know!
