argh missed out on a holdsworth professional today :(

One made by the Holdsworthy Company, a lot better than spending megabucks on the raleigh.
If the headset is worn, then get a very cheap raleigh and swap it.
If only rusty, you could paint it blue?
 
The Carlton/raleigh is now bare metal, I'll be respraying it black and white and new decals.

I might be able to get a raleigh headset off lgfss, I've seen a lot of shimano 105's used, but surely they are 24tpi? gah!

I missed the damn holdsworth sadly, fella called to view it at 1.30 during the day I rang the guy at 9am, but by then he'd already arranged to see it.

I'd have kept both bikes anyway!

Carlton all stripped. I have put the primer and first couple of coats on the fork, waiting on chain extractor coming via ebay to start on frame (white). NOS raleigh headset coming from hilary stone and a set of carlton decals from Ebay too.
