3 days of decent UK riding??

Brecon Beacons?

Area is plastered in singletrack, lots and lots of forestry trails as well. Take a look on Google Satellite images

If you stay away from the centres you could ride all day without coming across a soul. Then again the Centres are there to be ridden, whatever floats your boat

Accommodation wise I wouldn't suggest the Valley's but would centre around Brecon itself. Plenty of good accommodation around the area a lot of it catering specifically for those people who like to be outdoors.

This isn't bad, couple of miles from my house, health spa thrown in. Located on the A470 between Merthyr Tydfil and Brecon

Here it is on Bing Maps

Just zoom in use Aerial images and click on the OS map option to bring up all the tracks around the area

Up and around Builth Wells.....would help if you knew someone in the area though..no marked trails up in the hills, and lots of riding through hill frams and the obligatory sheep.....

But would be an epic ride, and they used to run a lot of the championships round there. Still got a downhill course I think..quite recent

You could take in some of the Brecon trails on the way..

Been thinking of South Wales.
Did Afan and Brechfa in the spring and enjoyed it (especialy Brechfa!).
Considering Forest of Dean too. Does it get very claggy there in winter anyone?

Forest can be muddy but there are a variety of trails for all kinds of riding and it's quite a big area overall.
